Bump & Baby Photographer Northamptonshire

I couldn't decide so am showing a couple of photos for this sneak peek from Saturday's maternity shoot with a fabulous couple looking forward to the birth of their first baby in three weeks time. S wears lots of A's shirts as they fit her bump so well and we worked together to create some beautiful photographs, stopping for a bit of lunch along the way! S was worried that their extensive cottage renovations would make it more difficult for me but I'm used to working on location in clients' homes and always manage to find the best spots for the natural light. I can't wait to meet E as their bump is affectionately known :) Have a look at their newborn sneak preview!
 

Newborn Baby Photographer London

It was a bit quieter at K and A's flat when I arrived for Oliver's newborn photo shoot on Saturday compared to the day they had their maternity shoot! Oliver is just three weeks old today and absolutely gorgeous with lovely long eyelashes. He has a wardrobe full of clothes and hats that but young babies generally look better naked and K really wanted a photo of his cute little bottom so here it is!

There was a bonus in store for me yesterday when I arrived at three and a half week old Elizabeth Grace's house for her newborn photo shoot. Her three big brothers, off school for the Easter holidays, helped take my gear out of the car and supplied me with drinks. This sneak peek is one of my favourites from our session as it shows off Elizabeth's gorgeous eyelashes!

All thoughts of romance went right out of my mind when K asked me to do another commercial shoot for Style My Baby London on the 14th February. It was really cold but all four children were very well behaved and looked amazing in the musically themed clothes, chosen for them especially for the shoot.  K thought it would be great to recreate the Beatles Abbey Road record cover but we hadn't planned for the Abbey Road zebra crossing to be quite so busy with tourists on a Tuesday mid morning! And I didn't have a step ladder with me or a policeman holding up the traffic for ten minutes like Iain Macmillan, whom photographed the original iconic image: needless to say we did get some fabulous shots. These are a few of my favourites.

I'm a wee bit behind with my blogging as I've been busy with shoots and designing albums and lots of storyboards for clients recently; so am showing you the two 20x20 storyboards that M and V have ordered along with a couple of my favourites from their newborn session. WOW! It was all happening when I arrived at K and A's flat yesterday morning for their maternity shoot. K doesn't do things by halves and as well as making preparations for baby Oliver's arrival in three weeks, last minute preparations were under way for her Baby Shower, which was taking place immediately after the shoot. I don't normally work on Sundays at this time of the year but it would have been rude not to be there for the maternity shoot and stay on to cover the party. K said the loveliest things about my work but time was evaporating quickly, so we gave their busy mobiles to family and took ourselves off to their bedroom to get creative. This sneak peek is one of my favourites. K is wearing the beautiful shirt that A wore when they got married, and like so many Mum's in late pregnancy has her wedding ring on a chain around her neck. I can't wait to go back for the newborn shoot and K has promised me faithfully that they won't have a house full or a party straight afterwards ~ but it was fun and I had a fabulous time!

I met Harry and his Mummy and Grandma on Saturday morning. What a gorgeous little boy Harry is! Even though it was a dull old day outdoors he was a ray of sunshine: 5 months old and full of character, Harry was an absolute joy to photograph. At this age you can expect more 'in arms' shots as babies generally aren't able to support themselves sitting up but that was ideal as Harry's Mummy especially wanted some beautiful photos of the two of them together. This sneak peek is one of my favourites! Isn't that a cute little bottom and what a yummy mummy you are K :)

This lovely family had their third baby, Anya, in December but decided to wait until after all the Christmas festivities before having their newborn shoot. You may remember their maternity session and the photo of Asha that was published in Professional Photographer magazine? Well I've since been awarded a Silver Bar by The Guild of Photographers for a black and white photo of Asha! These are just a few more of my favourites from their bump and newborn sessions.

I'm best known for my nostalgic sepia portraits and 95% of my family portraiture is presented in this format. I also generally think newborns and younger babies look best naked or wrapped in a shawl, however, there is always room for exceptions. This morning's photo shoot with Holly, proves not only how gorgeous an 8 week old baby can look in a dress, which was a fabulous present from her grandma, but also what a beautiful colouring this little girl has. For good measure I'm showing another sneak peek of her in my signature sepia ~ naked of course!

Although I always take maternity drapes with me to bump shoots I prefer where possible to use my clients' own things as their photographs hold more significance; and I love hearing the stories behind these treasures. This sneak peek is from today's session with C and S who are expecting their first baby in March. The silky dressing gown, which is caressing C's beautiful bump is a very special one that she bought for her wedding and we'll use it again for their newborn shoot for sure!

I'd just finished posting V and M's maternity session and got an email to say that Maxwell Paul had arrived! How weird is that? Anyway this is a sneak peek from yesterday's newborn shoot with this lovely little fella. I'm showing this one in colour as Maxwell's hat perfectly matches his Mummy's sarong that her friends gave her at a Baby Shower :)

These are some of my favourites from a family shoot before Christmas that I couldn't blog before now as lots of my photos were given as presents. I last photographed Finn at his old house so it was really lovely to see the family's gorgeous new home and celebrate beautiful Isla Rose's arrival. She was asleep when I arrived but soon woke up and enjoyed her first professional photo shoot! They came back for a Mini Shoot at Sywell  . . . see how much Isla has grown :)

Do you remember my 'It's All About the Bump' post? Well I'm catching up with all my pre Christmas blogging and am now showing you more of my favourites from V and M's beautiful maternity session in December. In fact I'm expecting a 'phone call any day to schedule their newborn shoot! We'll use the sarong that V's friends gave her, and that she wore around her hips in these photos, and I'm sure we'll get that very special teddy in there somewhere too. Can't wait!

Welcome Anika ~ Newborn Photographer London

I'm so pleased to be able to show you some of my favourite photos from this Bump & Baby photo shoot in Putney! We had a great maternity shoot at the end of September when the weather was kind and we also ventured down by the river, and an amazing newborn shoot when Anika was just a few days old. She is beautiful and was an absolute poppet! I was in my element capturing her in a variety of ways whilst her parents enjoyed their take away meal.
