A real feast of creative activities took place at The Castle in Wellingborough yesterday, all centered around the theme of Telling Tales. I ran a Digital Story drop-in Family Workshop where everyone created their own monsters and then photographed them to make one HUGE stop frame animation.Like most brilliant stories it began with 'Once Upon A Time' but evolved as we went along until we ran out of time. Having spent the day fighting and chasing each other round the storyboard one might assume that there would be a happy ending for the two monsters. Daxa and Molly had other ideas though and dreamed up an alternative fantastic finale! When I've mastered the art of blogging I will try and post a video but will definitely be sending a DVD of our film to everyone who took part.

Monster Tales was great fun and very immediate. I was surprised at how quickly you could create a short piece with the simplest tools. Molly and I will certainly be having a go at home. Many thanks Wendy. Daxa x
