It was a bit quieter at K and A's flat when I arrived for Oliver's newborn photo shoot on Saturday compared to the day they had their maternity shoot! Oliver is just three weeks old today and absolutely gorgeous with lovely long eyelashes. He has a wardrobe full of clothes and hats that but young babies generally look better naked and K really wanted a photo of his cute little bottom so here it is!

There was a bonus in store for me yesterday when I arrived at three and a half week old Elizabeth Grace's house for her newborn photo shoot. Her three big brothers, off school for the Easter holidays, helped take my gear out of the car and supplied me with drinks. This sneak peek is one of my favourites from our session as it shows off Elizabeth's gorgeous eyelashes!

This lovely family had their third baby, Anya, in December but decided to wait until after all the Christmas festivities before having their newborn shoot. You may remember their maternity session and the photo of Asha that was published in Professional Photographer magazine? Well I've since been awarded a Silver Bar by The Guild of Photographers for a black and white photo of Asha! These are just a few more of my favourites from their bump and newborn sessions.

Although I always take maternity drapes with me to bump shoots I prefer where possible to use my clients' own things as their photographs hold more significance; and I love hearing the stories behind these treasures. This sneak peek is from today's session with C and S who are expecting their first baby in March. The silky dressing gown, which is caressing C's beautiful bump is a very special one that she bought for her wedding and we'll use it again for their newborn shoot for sure!

I'd just finished posting V and M's maternity session and got an email to say that Maxwell Paul had arrived! How weird is that? Anyway this is a sneak peek from yesterday's newborn shoot with this lovely little fella. I'm showing this one in colour as Maxwell's hat perfectly matches his Mummy's sarong that her friends gave her at a Baby Shower :)

Do you remember my 'It's All About the Bump' post? Well I'm catching up with all my pre Christmas blogging and am now showing you more of my favourites from V and M's beautiful maternity session in December. In fact I'm expecting a 'phone call any day to schedule their newborn shoot! We'll use the sarong that V's friends gave her, and that she wore around her hips in these photos, and I'm sure we'll get that very special teddy in there somewhere too. Can't wait!

Welcome Anika ~ Newborn Photographer London

I'm so pleased to be able to show you some of my favourite photos from this Bump & Baby photo shoot in Putney! We had a great maternity shoot at the end of September when the weather was kind and we also ventured down by the river, and an amazing newborn shoot when Anika was just a few days old. She is beautiful and was an absolute poppet! I was in my element capturing her in a variety of ways whilst her parents enjoyed their take away meal. Thank you so much for your hospitality and I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again before too long.

Although I photograph older children and teens, I especially love maternity shoots ~ after all we're not pregnant that many times in our lifetime so it's really something to celebrate! Not everyone wants to bear all. It takes confidence and a great deal of trust in your photographer. This one of my absolute favourites from Saturday's session. At six weeks old Poppy is one of the most well travelled young babies that I've come across ~ flying over from Ireland to visit family and friends, I was pleased that Poppy was able to find time in her busy schedule for her first photoshoot. The shawl that she is wearing is very special as it was a gift from her great grandmother that I'm sure is destined to become a family heirloom. Aren't those toes cute! These are a few of my favourites . . .

Welcome Layla ~ Newborn Photographer Hertfordshire {Wendy Grant Photography}

Max showed off his cars and proudly introduced me to his beautiful sister Layla yesterday, whom looks just like he did at that age. At five and a half weeks, Layla is a wee bit older than Max was at his newborn session, but her mummy and daddy deliberately scheduled the shoot so that we could capture Layla more awake. Thank you for your hospitality A and T ~ it was really lovely to see you all again and it's a great idea to use these photographs as Christmas presents! These are a couple of my favourites  . . .

Welcome to Eleanor {Newborn Photographer ~ Bedfordshire}

At four weeks old Eleanor is a bit older than her big sister when I took Tallulah's newborn photographs but she was every bit as gorgeous! And Tallulah has grown into the most beautiful little girl too! I would happily travelled to the Isle of Wight where this lovely couple live now, but as they were coming back to visit family in Bedfordshire was able to do Eleanor's newborn session there. M said so kindly said in his email 'We did look at all the people we can find here who do newborn photography, but there's just no-one who comes close to what you did before'. Such an amazing compliment and I hope that you love your sneak peek!

Welcome To Isabelle Rose {Newborn Photographer ~ Buckinghamshire}

Yesterday was a first for me! In all the years I've been photographing newborns I've never come across a midwife during the session. Of course it was no problem ~ whilst waiting for the midwife to check over this dainty little lady and her mummy I was catching up with Isobelle's daddy and grandma. And afterwards was plied with coffee and truly yummy cake! These are some of my favourites ~ you might recognise the scarf from J and M's maternity creative session . . .
