I couldn't decide so am showing a couple of photos for this sneak peek from Saturday's maternity shoot with a fabulous couple looking forward to the birth of their first baby in three weeks time. S wears lots of A's shirts as they fit her bump so well and we worked together to create some beautiful photographs, stopping for a bit of lunch along the way! S was worried that their extensive cottage renovations would make it more difficult for me but I'm used to working on location in clients' homes and always manage to find the best spots for the natural light. I can't wait to meet E as their bump is affectionately known :) Have a look at their newborn sneak preview!
 

London Maternity Photographer

WOW! It was all happening when I arrived at K and A's flat yesterday morning for their maternity shoot. K doesn't do things by halves and as well as making preparations for baby Oliver's arrival in three weeks, last minute preparations were under way for her Baby Shower, which was taking place immediately after the shoot. I don't normally work on Sundays at this time of the year but it would have been rude not to be there for the maternity shoot and stay on to cover the party. K said the loveliest things about my work but time was evaporating quickly, so we gave their busy mobiles to family and took ourselves off to their bedroom to get creative. This sneak peek is one of my favourites. K is wearing the beautiful shirt that A wore when they got married, and like so many Mum's in late pregnancy has her wedding ring on a chain around her neck. I can't wait to go back for the newborn shoot and K has promised me faithfully that they won't have a house full or a party straight afterwards ~ but it was fun and I had a fabulous time!

Although I always take maternity drapes with me to bump shoots I prefer where possible to use my clients' own things as their photographs hold more significance; and I love hearing the stories behind these treasures. This sneak peek is from today's session with C and S who are expecting their first baby in March. The silky dressing gown, which is caressing C's beautiful bump is a very special one that she bought for her wedding and we'll use it again for their newborn shoot for sure!

Do you remember my 'It's All About the Bump' post? Well I'm catching up with all my pre Christmas blogging and am now showing you more of my favourites from V and M's beautiful maternity session in December. In fact I'm expecting a 'phone call any day to schedule their newborn shoot! We'll use the sarong that V's friends gave her, and that she wore around her hips in these photos, and I'm sure we'll get that very special teddy in there somewhere too. Can't wait!

It's ages since I've done an outdoor maternity shoot  so when this lovely couple mentioned that there was a stretch of water in their grounds I couldn't resist photographing them by it! The sun was bright and it was very windy but we got some beautiful shots before going back indoors to capture more. K really liked the photographs in my portfolio with a hint of colour and I think it works well here. These are some of my favourites . . .

My Count the Kicks 'bump' session with H at the weekend gave me an incentive to get more creative than usual, but despite having sourced wings (a long story I won't go into here), I gave up trying to be cliche and we used H's own sea shell patterned wrap that she carried her beautiful 20 month old daughter in and her lovely 'brella! Count the Kicks are working to reduce Stillbirth and Neonatal deaths ~ please take a moment to look at their website and show your support. I LOVE creating fabulous maternity photos and last Saturday's creative session with J and M was brilliant! I always like to use my clients' personal belongings where possible as this makes their photographs all the more special. J wore a beautiful ring, pearls and a scarf that were her Grandmothers and we'll use these at the newborn session. I just had to include the newly assembled cot in the background waiting for this little bundle of joy to arrive!

Bump Makes Five {Bump & Baby Photographer ~ Northamptonshire}

These gorgeous little ladies are expecting another to join their ranks soon after Christmas! At first their Dad couldn't believe that it can take up to two and a half hours for a creative session but mine can take that long, especially when children under the age of three are involved. I prefer to allow their natural curiosity to kick in and find that they will join their parents at the most beautiful moments, without any persuasion or cajoling. I also like to allow plenty of time to get to know my clients and give them a chance to become comfortable with me. As I get more into my 'zone',  I work with them to produce the most natural of shots. It is all about the 'bump' at a maternity creative session but B was a natural poser at 5 years old so I couldn't resist getting a few of her on her own as well! These are a few of my favourites.

Will This Be A Christmas Baby? {Bump & Baby Photographer ~ Northamptonshire}

I haven't done a maternity creative session in a while and so enjoyed myself yesterday with Abbie and Ben who are expecting their first baby in December. Abbie's leaving nothing to chance and is accumulating a huge pile of Christmas presents alongside their baby paraphernalia! I always like to include items that are especially personal to my clients and Abbie's gorgeous wedding veil just fitted the bill. I can't wait to meet their little one when s/he arrives! These are some of my favourites . . .

Creating Space for Pregnant Mothers at The Maple Tree Clinic

I'm very excited about the Creating Space sessions that are being held at the new Maple Tree Clinic and run by a good friend of mine! Starting Wednesday 3rd November 2010 and the first Wednesday of every month, the sessions 'aim to create a relaxing and supportive space for you to focus on you and your emotional wellbeing as you journey to becoming a mother'. Latest Northamptonshire Maternity Photographs {Wendy Grant Photography}

It's no secret that I'm working towards becoming the best maternity and pregnancy photographer in the UK and have received some very complimentary remarks about my work so I'm well on the way! This is S and L's sneak peek from today's maternity creative session, which will be my last one for a while as I'm going on holiday this week and am expecting a lot of babies . . . not personally of course, but I'm looking forward to meeting them all nevertheless. We got some cracking photographs of them with their faces as well, but as usual I'm respecting my clients' privacy on that score.
